Hello people!

Once again,I can't help but wonder what my fellow VFC people are doing now in church camp.Really hope they have a great time!(:

So so,I'm gonna watch Narnia,Prince Caspian today.Supposedly with my cousins and parents,but alas,later I found out that the FIRST Narnia of the Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe had already scared my cousins so much that they refuse to watch the second one of Prince Caspian.Ah wells,so it's just me and my parents today.I'll be watching 'Kung Fu Panda' with them the next time (:

I finally found the verse I was looking for yesterday in 2 Timothy,goes like this:

2Timothy 2:11-13

Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him,we will also live with him; If we endure,we will also reign with him.If we disown him,he will also disown us;if we are faithless,he will remain faithful,for he cannot disown himself.

I was looking for it all over the bible,and found it.I find this verse quite a source of encouragement really.

Being a Christian all the time isn't easy at all,the world HATES US.Not a very nice thing to hear,but true it is.Remember God says,that those who follow him will face persecution,rejection.He will have to leave behind everything,take up his cross,and deny himself.But the reward is GREAT,and our God is worthy.We love him,see him as our God whom is worthy,and that is EXACTLY the reason why we follow him.

Remember the calling of the 12 disciples,Jesus was simple.All he said was 'Follow me'.Two words,one and two,'Follow'-'me'.And the disciples left EVERYTHING,their career,families,comfort,and followed him.Why?They saw him and knew at that moment that he is the son of God,and some one that they went all out to follow.The disciples too,faced persecution and all that for doing the RIGHT THING(following the footsteps of Christ IS the right thing).But they knew it was worth it.

In the modern society?What do you see?For a moment there,maybe everything seems alright,but look CLOSER.Actually the world really is in quite a disaster state.Children,young as 6 to 7 years old,CURSING!?13 year olds,SMOKING!?Abortion rates increasing,teenage pregnancy,gang fights,drinking at young age?Oh and WHAT,EMO!?!?!?And the world thinks that THAT is satisfying?

You see the huge gap now between Christians and the world now?God,the amazing one we follow,is all loving,forgiving,caring,powerful,holy,SO GREAT,I can't even fully describe him.I follow him,because I LOVE HIM,he is worthy!He is the reason why I am so happy,he is always there for me,helping me,he knows all my needs,and he LOVES me too.The emptiness in my life is filled because of him.What the world offers now is dim in my sight,it's Jesus,my God,that I need,I want.

And he loves you too.He loves you so much,that every time you're sad,every time you cry,it actually hurts him too?He doesn't want you to be happy over the wrong things,or to be sad,he doesn't want to see you cry,he wants you to give him your burden,he'll carry it for you.He says,'take my yoke,for my yoke is easy and light.'He will take all the heaviness on you away,and when you take his yoke,everything will be alright again,no more weight will be on your shoulders anymore.

He is better than the world,and he is ETERNAL,that's the best thing.This world,all that it can offer is temporary,and when it's wrong,there is a price to pay,a punishment.Take delight and joy in him,for it is eternal,and never will you care about this world,and set your eyes upon Jesus.
