OHHHHHHHHHH.....

Yes happy birthday to our very own Iggy!And since yesterday and today,we went all out planning for her surprise parteh.

Yesterday Nicolette and I bought baking stuff to bake a YUMMY CHOCOLATE CAKE.We went through a blizzard-ish rain for that,causing us to be both utterly wet,stained uniforms,and Nicolette's umbrella to fly the other way around.Haha....

Nicolette PLEASE DON'T say sorry again for this,it was me and the rain's fault.Haha(:

So all soaking wet of to me house we go to bake our cake.We decided...it's going to have layers,cookie based and with bits of chocolate filling,and maybe caramel coated apples(which we didn't do in the end,since the caramel got a little burnt and tasted like haw candy instead,a big NO NO).So here's the process.

After greasing the tin container and cookie basing we poured this,our cake batter in on the first layer and sprinkled some yummy chocolate buttons on top.

And we half baked the first layer....

And after taking out the rather wobbly half baked cake,we sprayed on top the whipped cream and spread it out.

Then we poured our second layer that mixed a little bit with the cream.Don't worry,we put on a lot more batter than this xD

And the baking continues!Yum.

Nicolette and I spent a very exhausting of estimated 4 hours in the kitchen baking the cake,since there was a spot on the cake that simply wouldn't 'fluffen' up and rise,and we had take out the cake and check for several times from the hot microwave by poking toothpicks in the cake and see if any chocolate goo comes out.Meanwhile we caramelized brown sugar and plopped finely chopped baby apples in them.Unfortunately,we both accidentally overheated the caramel and it ended up looking like dark Soya sauce and tasted like bitter haw candy.So we dropped the idea of decorating it with caramelized apples.

When the cake was finally done,we sliced it into 4 pieces and put two on the bottom and two on top of them,then 'pasted' them together by pressing the cake together hard.Wrapped it up in aluminum foil,into the fridge it goes and we're done!

Oh yeah,and we made a big mess of the kitchen table top xD

The next day Nicole Lai,Li Ting,Sophia,Nicole Goh,Nicolette and I woke up SUPER early and reached school from 6-6.30 am to decorate the class to surprise Iggy,since she's a early bird that comes to school earlier than most of us.We had some of the others in class to drag her to anywhere BUT the class meanwhile.And we had balloons,balloon figures,a HUGE banner that we got the class to sign on that shouts 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY IGNATIA!',and a super nice exclusive transparent balloon with a few stars on it,and inside there's shiny blue confetti and a really really cute white pony plushie!Oh,and one other extra black balloon with sliver stars that also shouts happy birthday(:VERY SWEET RIGHT.

And we checked our scripts the whole day today,so we could only surprise Iggy after school when we go collect our bags from the class.Oh we surprised her good!The moment she stepped into class we SPRAYED TONNES AND TONNES of this stringy spray thing on her(I forgot what that's called)and she looked like a blue/green string ghost.HAHA.And we had a loud happy birthday song,And she saw all her gifts,the decoration,I think she was really happy and touched(:And we her closer friends all gave her a nice big hug.Thanks for your great friendship all these while Iggy!(:

Haha,and btw,everyone loved the cake,we had it during recess(:Stephanie our squishy doodle claimed that it was the best cake she'd ever had(:WHOOOTSS!Great Job Nicolette and me!

Oh and we kenna our Squishy Chen like nuts,cos Nicole Lai sprayed almost half her head blue in color with temporary hair color spray.AHAHAHAHA.

God played a HUGE part in making this party a success!I really thank him for it,and may he bless Ignatia on her merriest 14th!(:
