Hello!
I'm really glad it's Saturday!Gosh,baking a cake is so fun,now I feel like doing it again.Requires a egg sacrifice though,3 eggs.And with a cookie base,that's another egg!
Today I'm thinking about Christmas gifts.
Since I was a kiddo,Christmas definitely was one of my favorite occasions.Although I didn't really understand it so much, that it was to celebrate the birth of Christ,it it would be a very jolly day.I knew that every Christmas eve,we'd all have a big and lovely family gathering at my Uncle's house, with a lot of nice food and I'd run around with my cousins and we'd all play some games, then suddenly we all forget that school is around 6 days away.
At the end of the gathering,we all get extremely excited for the gifts, hoping every thing you'd get is something big.I remember that I like to receive gifts that come in a tall box around from my elbow to my palm, because the chances are high that it would be a barbie doll, and a pretty one with glossy strawberry blond hair and a silky, long and sparkling pink dress and a tiara.
A pity though,I like to do weird things to my barbie dolls and most of them don't really end up being THAT pretty anymore, usually since I either accidentally use a permanent marker with bright colors and doodle ridiculous things on their faces,or I use nail polish and try painting their pathetic finger and toe nails(and occasionally,LIPS)or the usual one, hack of their hair and make it short.I'm pretty sure after that my mom didn't stop buying me dolls because of my age,but more of what I'd do to the dolls in the future.Heh.
So the gifts I get now are usually collectibles,or some ceramic or clay figures that are for show.Nevertheless,I still have the same excitement whenever I open a wrapped up gift.
However as the generation grows, gifts become less exciting and I think the most exciting thing I get now is a card as the only suspense is what's written inside.Usually, the gifts come either un-wrapped and un-personal.I don't get a lot of gifts now,but when I do I always think they're really sweet,be it small or be it normal, like a book.
So so,this Christmas, close buddies,I make sure you all get something really nice from me!Nicolette, plan a shopping day and we'll go to 'with love' at Plaza Singapura, and there we go on a SIAO shopping of artistic materials to make tonnes of cool gifts!I like to make gifts for close friends that I know well enough to give them something personal and really nice.
WHEE!We'll all go high and low for a Christmas gift making shopping spree! And it starts after school ends.AHAHAHA.
God bless you!
